Early Social Learning - at the crossroads of memory, cognition, emotion and social mechanisms

This special issue aims to address contributions that deal with various aspects of social learning related to long-term memory, affect and emotion, and social attitudes. We welcome contributions that address the three themes above from a developmental psychology perspective; however, we also welcome contributions pertaining to the early mechanisms and processes of social learning, regardless of whether they fit strictly within these specific themes. Contributions may be theoretical proposals, reviews, meta-analyses, or empirical studies conducted using any of a range of research designs and methods (e.g., experimental, longitudinal, correlational methods). We highly encourage contributions from non-Western, non-WEIRD (Henrich et al., 2010) authors and samples and cross-cultural comparisons that would enable us to discern consistencies and generalisable aspects of early social learning across different cultures and social groups.
