Climate Change and Central Banking Policy Making

The Journal of Asian Economics will publish a special issue on the broad theme of climate change and central banking policy making. All topics on the theme are welcomed including those that: explore the effects of climate change on monetary aggregates including prices; the role of central banks in addressing climate related risks; understanding how central banks embrace climate related considerations in decision making; evaluation of the effectiveness of central banks climate related policies and strategies; identifying the challenges faced by central banks in accommodating climate related risks into monetary policy frameworks; exploring how climate related financial risks transmit to the financial and economic systems; and how climate related risks is impacting the monetary-fiscal policy coordination, amongst others.A workshop/conference will be organised where selected papers will be presented. Each paper will have a discussant.
